The globalised city becomes more apparent..
the saturday day out to the gym setup loads of thought bubbles in the grey matter. it was meant to be somewhat a day of relaxation without much deep thinking. guess its just me. always on a look out, making inferences et al. just abt 2 mths back, spoke to some mates on how home is lacking in service staff. well obviously not an unknown fact- highly controversial in the papers am sure. indeed, a walk about novena sq after the workout session proved this fact once again.
Pit stop 1- I was hungry and thirsty, popped by the local franchise soya bean stall - Mr bean. Was greeted by a nice lady who spoke english with a slight chinese accent.
Pit stop 2 - To the supermarket for some takeaway sushi. At the cashier, the same experience as that in Pit stop 1.
Pit stop 3 - Accessory store for some hairclips. Pls refer to 1 & 2.
Pit stop 4 - Back home at the TPY interchange. More of 1, 2 and 3...
Globalisation cannot be prevented...the effects are apparent. Witnessed them. I'm not that comfortable with that fact.
If u can't beat them...join them.. I see myself speaking more mandarin these days. Its not a bad thing... I think its time to brush it up to a next level.
